RUMORE BIANCO
(White Noise)
A film by Alberto Fasulo
Italy/Switzerland, 2008
90’, 35mm
Color & b/w
Original version: German, Italian, Friulano

Along a frontier scarred by wars, conflicts, migrations, and filled by intense silences, by a sunken vitality, runs the Tagliamento, “King of the alpine rivers”. The Tagliamento has always been a crossroad and junction in the history of Europe: a strip of water becomes the protagonist of a story which investigates the force of nature and its possibilities of resistance, the everyday life of men and women and their stubbornness, because “water is provided with memory”.
